SpeedTech Lights, Inc. Terms & Conditions

It is the user's responsibility to understand and obey all laws regarding emergency warning devices' use and application. The user should check all applicable city, state, and/or federal laws and regulations in order to ensure compliance. SpeedTech Lights Inc. assumes no liability for any loss resulting from the use of the warning lights and products. Proper installation is vital to the performance of the warning devices and the safe operation of the vehicle. SpeedTech Lights upholds the right to adjust or change its policies and/or pricing at any given time without notice. SpeedTech Lights reserves the right to make improvements and upgrades without notice. No dealer, distributor, employee, or individual of the company is authorized to change the return or warranty policy or the conditions of the SpeedTech Lights warranty. 


We have a very thorough process in our Shipping Department. Your order is gathered, boxed, serial numbered, scanned, and placed appropriately in the box while still on the scale to ensure that all of your items are in the box and the weight is accurate. SpeedTech Lights ships orders via UPS. Processing time is listed below for each service; standard shipping delivery time varies by geographic location.

  • UPS Next Day Air and Next Day Air Saver: Ship within 1-2 business days
  • UPS 2nd Day Air, 3 Day Select and Ground: Ship within 1-3 business days
  • UPS Worldwide Express Saver, Worldwide Expedited and Standard: Ship within 1-3 business days
  • Customized, Weatherproofing, Multi-Color Upgrade, and Alternating Upgrade Orders: Ship within 5-6 business days, unless previously notified
  • Add Priority Processing to your order for $8.99 or $12.99 for customizations to have your package shipped within 24 business hours! Holidays may affect Priority Processing time.


A tracking number will be provided via email from UPS. Visit and insert your tracking number to track your shipment. You will receive the e-mail from UPS once the package is scanned into theUPS Network, and follow up e-mails will be sent if there are any exceptions.

You will also receive a Delivery Confirmation e-mail via UPS the moment your package is delivered. This added feature ensures awareness of delivery. There is NO signature requirement; therefore it is your responsibility to be present when your package is delivered.
SpeedTech Lights Inc. is not responsible for delayed shipments caused by UPS due to its company holidays. Please be aware, all refused packages will have the return shipping costs deducted from any refund/exchange.


The preferred carrier for international shipments is UPS Worldwide Express Saver and UPS Worldwide Expedited. Brokerage fees are included in your shipping costs.  An additional customs fee may also be assessed by your local government.


UPS will make 3 attempts to deliver a shipment with a signature requirement. If you are not available by the 3rd attempt, UPS will return the package and you will incur additional shipping charges before it can be reshipped.


Orders that are on backorder that have been partially shipped will be shipped UPS Ground, regardless of shipping service selected. Orders that have not been partially shipped and the full order remains on backorder will ship according to the shipped service selected.


Damaged shipments must be reported to SpeedTech Lights within 24 hours. Failure to do so may invalidate your claim.

Missing shipments or items must be reported to SpeedTech Lights the DAY your items are delivered to you via UPS. Any claim of a missing item or shipment will require a police report.

SpeedTech Lights is not responsible for missing packages that are verified and reported as delivered through the UPS Network.

7 Day Return/Exchanges Policy

SpeedTech Lights must be notified of any returns for refund or exchange within seven days of receipt of merchandise. Returns for a refund must be post marked as shipped no later than the seventh day of delivery for a refund. If the return is shipped after the seventh day it will be eligible for store credit only. All return merchandise must be authorized by a SpeedTech Lights representative. No returned merchandise will be accepted without a Return/Exchange form and Return Merchandise Authorization number. Returns with the request of a refund must be in the original condition or will be subject to a restocking fee and/or service fee for the repair of products made defective by the customer in any way. If items are returned outside of original condition or packaging, it will no longer be eligible for a refund, but will be eligible for store credit only, minus any fees. Return shipments must be in the original packaging, with sufficient wrapping, in order to avoid damage to the unit. Failure to do so may result in a restocking fee, voiding of warranty, and/or an additional charge for the damage repair. Shipping costs of all returned merchandise to SpeedTech Lights will be borne by the customer, including return shipping on exchanges. Rejected packages will be issued a refund minus all shipping costs. If an STL Discounted/Free Shipping Coupon is used for purchase in a returned order, than shipping charges will be deducted from the refund amount of that product/order. We highly recommend that our customers insure all return merchandise. All returns must be packaged securely to avoid damages and potential fees. Customer is responsible for the condition in which the item is received.

All refunds for products within the seven day return policy will be returned to the credit card used for the original purchase, and NO refunds will be issued on shipping, customization costs, or replacement parts. Refunds are issued within 5 - 10 business days from the date of arrival of your return. Your refund will appear back on your card within 3 – 4 business days depending on your financial institution.

Beyond 7 Day Return Policy

All returns exceeding the seven day return policy are subject to store credit, only with the approval of a supervisor and issuance of an RMA number. No dealer, distributor, employee, or individual of the company is authorized to change this return/exchange policy or the conditions of the SpeedTech Lights warranty.


All order cancellations must be done via phone through Customer Service at 1-800-757-2581 during business hours, Monday – Friday 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM central time in order to prevent shipment on such orders. Failure to do so will result in shipping charges. Customized orders will not be refunded customization costs.

Price Adjustment

Any orders placed within seven days of initiation of a Sale, may receive the price difference in store credit. In order to receive store credit, the customer must call SpeedTech Lights within 7 days of original purchase. Clearance and Refurbished products/purchases do not qualify for a price adjustment. SpeedTech Lights reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason.

Clearance/Refurbished Products and Replacement Parts

All Replacement Parts are a Final Sale, sold "As is" with a 30 day warranty on parts. No returns, exchanges, or store credit will be issued.

Havis® Return Policy

Havis® offers the Customer the opportunity to return items for credit or replacement within the first (30) days from the date of shipment from Havis. If the box has been opened, a restocking fee of 20% will be deducted from the credit amount. Any request made for the return of an item outside of the (30) day window will not be accepted. If the return is valued to be under $50, the return will not be authorized.

When returning items, please ensure the equipment is packaged appropriately (as it was received) to ensure full credit is issued. All items being returned are subject to an inspection and may be accepted or rejected at the discretion of the inspector.

Docking stations that are returned and have been determined to have been installed will not receive credit. Should a return be rejected by the inspector, the reseller will have (30) days to determine course of action. If no reply from the reseller is received within (30) days, items will be disposed of accordingly and no credit will be given.

Coupons, Specials, and Promotions

SpeedTech Lights reserves the right to refund transactions that have had multiple coupon codes applied to the order.  Each coupon, special, or promotion must be added at the time of purchase. Each coupon, special, or promotion cannot be combined with any other coupon, special, or promotion unless otherwise stated by SpeedTech Lights within the promotion. Coupon codes do not apply to Clearance items, Outlet items, Sale items, and/or Bundle Packages. SpeedTech Lights reserves the right to collect additional payment when necessary for orders that payment has not been fully collected due to a bug or glitch on the website during the time of purchase. SpeedTech Lights reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason.

Golden Z Giveaway Terms (Promo currently Inactive)

Promo is only active when Home Page Golden Z Web Banner is live and running. When the promo is active, order any Z Series LED Surface Mount product and find the golden bagged Z for a chance to win a STL $50 Gift Card. STL will send out one golden Z for every 500 Z series units sold with a minimum of 4 golden Z winners per month. Odds of winning is 1 in 500. In order to claim your prize. Winner must post a picture of the golden Z to the SpeedTech Lights Facebook wall and tag SpeedTech Lights. Winners have up to 5 business days from when they received their package to post on the STL Facebook wall and claim their prize. Good luck!

US Warranty

SpeedTech Lights, Inc. Limited Warranty

  • SpeedTech Lights issues a five year warranty on LEDs, Power Supplies & STL Switch Boxes for all mini and full 18"+ LED light bars.
  • SpeedTech Lights issues a three year warranty on LEDs, Power Supplies & STL Switch Boxes for all other items, except those found under "Replacement Parts","Outlet Store", "Flashlights", strobe bulbs, cigarette lighter plugs, halogen bulbs and universal switch boxes.
  • SpeedTech Lights issues a one year warranty on "Flashlights" and "Switch Boxes".
  • Replacement Parts are a Final Sale; however, SpeedTech Lights will issue a 30 day warranty on replacement parts.
  • Outlet Store containing “Reconditioned Products” and “Clearance Products” are a Final Sale; however, SpeedTech Lights will issue a 30 day warranty on Reconditioned Products and Clearance Products.
  • No Warranty is included on any and all FREE/Giveaway items/products.

Limited Warranty: SpeedTech Lights warrants to the original retail purchaser that the "Product Name" will be free from manufacture defects for a period of one (1) years, three (3) years, or five (5) years, or ninety (90) days, or thirty (30) days from the date of your original purchase (the "Warranty Period"), subject to specific exclusions set below.


If SpeedTech Lights cannot lawfully disclaim or exclude implied warranties under applicable law, then to the maximum extent possible the duration of such implied warranties shall expire on expiration of the warranty period.

This warranty is between the original purchaser only and SpeedTech Lights. This warranty is extended to the original purchaser provided the product is installed and operated in accordance with Manufacturer (SpeedTech Lights) Recommendations. All items must have the original serial number in order for the item to be repaired or replaced. Removal of Serial Number will void warranty as stated on SN label. Shipping costs to SpeedTech Lights will be borne by the customer. Return shipping will be prepaid by SpeedTech Lights via USPS Priority or UPS Ground for Manufacture Defects Only. Customer is responsible for the condition in which the item is received; proper care and packaging is necessary to prevent damages in shipping. Insurance is highly recommended.

This warranty is voided by defects resulting from abuse, misuse, excess voltage, inadequate wiring, or improper installation. Accurate installation of SpeedTech Lights products requires the installer to have a good understanding of automotive electronics, procedures, and systems. Evidence of disassembly, tampering, or broken products will not be covered under warranty. Merchandise is subject to inspection by SpeedTech Lights for repair or refurbished replacement and must be accompanied by the original Sales Receipt.

SpeedTech Lights is not liable for any coincidental or incidental damages or injury caused by the product and/or inadequate or inappropriate installation or wiring, to any persons or vehicles. SpeedTech Lights is not liable for any removal and/or reinstallation costs of products for warranty, service, return, or repair.

SpeedTech Lights is not responsible for unclaimed warranty items past 30 days of delivery to SpeedTech Lights.

Steps and Requirements to Return a Product for Warranty Service when purchased directly through SpeedTech Lights, Inc.

  • Review the SpeedTech Lights, Inc. Limited Warranty to ensure your claim meets all requirements and for proper claim procedure.
  • Contact SpeedTech Lights Customer Service via phone (800-757-2581) or e-mail ( to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.
  • Please provide us with the First and Last name, Department, or Company your account is under along with a description of the nonconformance.
  • RMA numbers are valid for 30 days.
  • Your product is to be returned with shipping costs prepaid and packaged accordingly to prevent damage. CODs will be refused and returned with the carrier.
  • Please include a completed STL Return Form in your box with your product.

  • Once the product(s) arrive we will diagnose the product and repair or replace it with a refurbished unit.
  • The product(s) must be within the warranty period on arrival to avoid repair and shipping costs.
  •  The Warranty begins from the date of purchase
  • For products that do not meet warranty requirements we will contact you with a quote of the replacement or repair costs.
  • If you choose not to complete the repair it will be returned to you as it was received and return shipping costs will be born by the customer.
  • A copy of your Sales Receipt from SpeedTech Lights must be included with your product.
  • The repaired or replaced product will be sent back prepaid to the customer within 3 – 5 business days via USPS Priority or UPS Ground and packaged by SpeedTech Lights, Inc.

International Warranty

SpeedTech Lights, Inc. International and Canadian Limited Warranty

SpeedTech Lights will extend its US warranty to its international customers under the same terms, with the exception of shipping costs. All inbound and outbound shipping charges are borne by the customer for returns, exchanges, repairs, and/or warranty. All items submitted for warranty must be sent Freight Prepaid. Do not ship by bus.

In the event you elect, in connection with any of the web services, to communicate to SpeedTech Lights Inc. any data, comments, suggestions, and/or other information relating to improvements to SpeedTech Lights Inc.'s web services, the materials, or the marks (collectively, "feedback"), SpeedTech Lights Inc. shall own all right, title, and interest in and to the Feedback without restriction or further compensation to you. All inventions, product improvements, modifications, or developments conceived or made by SpeedTech Lights Inc. based wholly or partially on your feedback, will be the exclusive property of SpeedTech Lights Inc. You hereby irrevocably assign all right, title, and interest in and to the feedback to SpeedTech Lights Inc., and agree to provide such assistance as SpeedTech Lights Inc. may require in documenting, perfecting, and maintaining its right to the feedback.
